As crazy as school can be for us students as we go through our first week, it can be equally crazy for new teachers as they enter a new school environment that is unlike many others. With this, it’s important to see how a new teacher’s experience compares to a veteran teacher’s. Following is an interview with Mr. Patel, a new math teacher at Green Hope

GHF: What do you think about the atmosphere of this school.

PATEL: I think it’s a lot of fun; the kids are nice and the faculty is amazing.

GHF: What do you think of the students at Green Hope?

PATEL: I think they’re kind and easy to get along with.

GHF: How was your first week teaching here?

PATEL: It’s been crazy, too much paperwork! Like drinking from a fire hose, ha ha.

GHF: What’s special about this school?

PATEL: The student diversity.

GHF: If you could change one thing about Green Hope what would you change?

PATEL: The hours, wait, no. The A/C.

Clearly, Mr. Patel is enjoying his tenure at Green Hope. As students get to know their teachers, it’s nice to see the other side of that test or that paper you don’t want to write. Hopefully this is a good and exciting school year for all students and teachers. Good luck to all new teachers at Green Hope.
