The Green Hope baseball team routed Enloe in their first game back from spring break.  The 12-0 win improved their record to 12-5 and extended their win streak to four. The Falcons are 8-1 on the season at home.  Green Hope’s mid-season push has put them 1.5 games back from first place in the SWAC, with seven games remaining.

Green Hope dominated Enloe in every aspect of the game.  Freshman Liam Norris was the defensive anchor, pitching a complete game (5 innings) and gave up only one hit with nine strikeouts.  It was Norris’ third consecutive start without allowing a run.  It was a 2-0 game heading into the fifth inning, but the Falcons had an offensive explosion to put the game out of reach.  Junior Jordyn Adams went 2 for 2 at the plate with two RBIs.  Adams broke the school’s fourteen year old stolen base record with five last night.  Connor Knapp and Cooper Derks also had two RBIs.  Senior Thomas Quinn went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI.  Quinn commented, “We started a little slow, we didn’t score until the third inning.  But once we did, we kept it rolling.”

Green Hope’s next game is today at Broughton High School.  After Broughton, the Falcons play against Panther Creek on Super Saturday.
