On Friday the regular season of basketball concluded as the Falcons played at Athens Drive.  The women won 55-45, and finished the season with a conference record of 14-2 which crowns them as first in the SWAC.  The boys got revenge in their 66-54 win against the Jaguars.  The boys finish with a conference record of 12-4, which ties them with Apex for second in the SWAC.

Last night Green Hope hosted the first round of the SWAC Tournament.  The women’s team played against Middle Creek and beat the Mustangs 58-19.  This was an easy win for the girls; they’ve swept the Mustangs all season.  Next the girls will play rival Panther Creek on Wednesday at Apex Friendship.  The girls are 1-1 against the Catamounts so this will be a close game.

After beating Athens Drive on Friday, the Falcons defeated the Jaguars again last night.  The final score was 58-50, with 20 points by Will Harkins and 13 added by Ryan Shaffer.  The boys finished the season 2-1 against the Jaguars.  Tomorrow the boys will play Apex in the second round of the SWAC Tournament.  The boys are 1-1 against the Cougars, with both games being very close.  Tomorrow’s game will be a very tough matchup.

Come out to Apex Friendship tomorrow to support the Falcons.  The boys will play Apex at 5:30 and the girls play Panther Creek at 7:00.
