Tis the Season to Get… Spooky

It’s October, and you all know what that means… Spooky Season!

Whether Halloween is your favorite holiday or pumpkin pie is your favorite spice, you’ll definitely find an event in the area that suits your spooky soul.

 

  • Pumpkin Flotilla, free

Where? Bond Park

When? October 26th from 4-7 pm

What? Bring your carved pumpkin to the park before 5:30 and set it afloat into Bond Park. There will also be food trucks, live music, and face painting.

 

  • Herbert’s Haunted House, $3 per person

Where? Herbert Young Community Center

When? October 26th at 7:30 pm and October 27th at 7:00 pm.

What? Enjoy some funny spooky action with the Cary Teen Council where you will be taken on a walk through their house of horrors. All ages welcome.

 

  • Zombiepalooza at Cary Theater, free

Where? Cary Theater

When? October 26th at 7 pm.

What? A playing of local filmmakers scary films that will “scare the pants right off of you!”

 

  • Cary’s Great Pumpkin Carve, free

Where? Downtown Park

When? October 27th, 2-8 pm

What? A fun event where you can pick out a pumpkin and carve it with family and friends. Pumpkins will be judged in several categories. Afterwards, you can stay for some other fun activities such as a showing of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”

 

  • Ghostwalk in Downtown Cary, $15

Where? Page Walker Arts & History Center

When? October 27th starting at 7 pm

What? Scary legends and stories will be presented by Cary’s playwrights. You will also meet some of Cary’s ghosts on a walk through Downtown Cary.

 

So… are you scared yet? Make sure to attend at least one of these events to enjoy some quality time with family and friends. Remember, don’t forget to relax a little and enjoy one of the best seasons of all!
