Veterans Day is the one day out of the year that is set aside to thank and honor those who served in the military. Their service, contributions to America’s safety, and sacrifices are greatly appreciated and celebrated on Veterans Day. Originally known as “Armistice Day,” Veterans Day originated on November 11th, 1918 to honor the end of World War I. This legal holiday is now honored every year across the USA. The following Green Hope teachers have served our country and protected our nation; they deserve recognition and gratitude: Jeffrey Ruckert, Brian McDougall, Matt Boyle, Tyrone Jones, and John Rees.
